Operating since 1337, the Padstow–Rock Ferry provides a vital and picturesque link across the River Camel estuary. Managed by the Padstow Harbour Commissioners, the ferry service runs daily, offering a convenient alternative to the lengthy road journey between Padstow and Rock. The crossing takes approximately 5–10 minutes and is favored by both locals and tourists for its efficiency and the stunning estuarine views it offers.
The ferry operates on a seasonal schedule, with increased frequency during the summer months. It accommodates pedestrians, cyclists, and dogs, ensuring accessibility for various travelers. Please note that the ferry service pauses daily between 13:30 and 14:00 for a lunch break. All payments are contactless and made directly on the ferry, with single fares only.​
