Nestled in the serene countryside near Penryn, The Flicka Foundation Donkey Sanctuary is a heartwarming haven dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of donkeys and horses that have suffered from abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Founded in 1995 by Mary Berryman, the sanctuary now cares for over 100 animals, each with their own unique story. Visitors are invited to stroll along designated walkways, observe the donkeys in their peaceful paddocks, and gain insight into the compassionate work undertaken by the sanctuary. With no admission fee, donations are warmly welcomed to support the ongoing care of these cherished residents.
