Mousehole Deli & Kitchen is a stylish coastal café and deli offering fresh Cornish dishes, locally sourced produce, and a relaxed spot to eat in or take away—just steps from the sea.
Equal parts artisan deli, sea-view café and neighbourhood hub, Mousehole Deli & Kitchen transforms a 19th-century chandlery into a gastronomic treasure trove crammed with local flavour. Tall shelves heave with Cornish gouda, St Ives charcuterie, Hedgerow jams and bean-to-bar Chocolarder slabs; chillers glow with kombucha, kefir and plant-based pâtés for today’s health-minded travellers. Early risers queue for sunrise coffees—roasted by Yallah and poured through a gleaming La Marzocco—plus warm pastries infused with Trevethan rum-soaked raisins. From midday the open kitchen dishes up vibrant plates: mackerel tacos with pickled fennel, roasted squash and goat-cheese frittata, or ciabatta loaded with Newlyn crab and smoked-paprika aioli. Locals linger over natural wines by the glass while browsers assemble picnic hampers to devour on the harbour wall. Sustainability runs deep: refill-your-oil and vinegar stations, BYO-jar discounts, and a partnership with Too Good To Go diverting surplus suppers into happy bellies. The upstairs “Kitchen Table” hosts intimate cook-school workshops—Cornish tapas, sourdough 101, vegan patisserie—and occasional ticketed supper clubs where guest chefs riff on global street food. Families appreciate the toy-laden reading nook; dog owners fetch complimentary biscuits and water bowls. Open daily 8 am–5 pm (to 8 pm July–Aug). For provisions, plates or produce that celebrate land and sea in equal measure, Mousehole Deli & Kitchen is your edible compass.
