Description

Tucked into a beautifully restored Grade II-listed sardine factory on West Looe Quay, the Looe Harbour Heritage Centre offers an immersive dive into the town’s seafaring past. Exhibits showcase how Looe once traded pilchards to Italy and ventured to Newfoundland for cod, complete with a delightful ‘Splatt the Seagull’ video for younger visitors and hands-on displays. After exploring maritime stories of fishing, boats, flood defences, and local characters, guests can unwind in the onsite coffee shop. With river-side views, cream teas, crab sandwiches, and friendly hospitality, this heritage gem blends Cornish charm with historical depth in an unforgettable setting.
