After a brief lesson on the beach, paddlers embark on a journey downriver towards the mouth of the estuary, exploring the infamous Doom Bar and enjoying various stops along the way before returning with the tide. The A to B tours also start at Dinham Farm and utilize the tides to navigate the middle stretches of the estuary, passing sites like the abandoned Penquean slate quarry and observing local wildlife such as swans, geese, and oyster catchers. ​
