Description
Nestled in the sought-after seaside village of Mawgan Porth – just four miles from Newquay and seven from Padstow – Coastman’s Nest is a delightful home-from-home, offering sweeping countryside and sea views that you’ll never tire of.
Sleeping eight guests in comfort, this light-filled retreat has been thoughtfully designed in a reverse-living style to make the most of its stunning surroundings. Upstairs, the inviting living room is the heart of the home, with plush sofas, an open fire for cooler evenings, and a Smart TV for cosy nights in. Gaze out of the large windows and you’ll be treated to a patchwork of rolling green fields and coastal blues – you might even spot a few cows basking in the Cornish sun.
Also on this floor is the master bedroom – a serene king-size with an en-suite shower room and fabulous views you can soak up without even leaving bed. Better still, step out onto the glass-fronted balcony and sink into the rattan sofas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the sea in complete comfort.
Downstairs, the stylish open-plan kitchen and second living area are bathed in natural light thanks to large windows and sliding patio doors. With a Neff double oven, five-ring gas hob, Nespresso machine and juicer, the kitchen is perfectly equipped for whipping up family feasts, while the generous dining table comfortably seats eight. After dinner, kick back on the sofa or spill out onto the terrace for drinks as the sun dips over the bay.
The ground floor is also home to three further bedrooms: a spacious double, a versatile twin (which can be made into a super-king), and a cheerful children’s bunk room. A family bathroom with a deep bathtub and walk-in shower, plus a handy cloakroom, complete this level.
Outside, Coastman’s Nest really comes into its own. The enclosed garden offers ample space to roam, along with a terrace complete with pergola, sun loungers, outdoor dining set and a bespoke built-in BBQ – perfect for long, lazy lunches al fresco. There’s also a practical glass drying room for wetsuits, an outdoor shower, and a spacious garage for storing beach gear and surfboards.
And the best part? You’re just a 10-minute stroll from the soft sands of Mawgan Porth Beach – a west-facing gem perfect for surfing, rock pooling and unforgettable sunsets. Coastman’s Nest is a tranquil, elevated hideaway where families and friends can fully unwind and embrace the magic of the Cornish coast.
